Heavy sigh. Summed up perfectly. I'm so disappointed in our state. I hope I live long enough to see that pendulum smack Reynolds back to obscurity and take her Republican legislators with her. Gonna need a very big pendulum.

I sincerely hope our governor’s “best of times” ( which are the same as my “worst of times”) don’t last. I don’t think that many Iowans are as mean -spirited as it appears right now.

Some days I have to take a mental health break from the Iowa news.

Bingo! The D's are committing political malpractice in Iowa with their "coastal" cultural issues, from school curricula thru gender dysphoria to "defund the police", enabling unified government by the R's and the inevitable excesses. Only divided government can force compromise on the major issues, neuter the nonsense and protect us from either extreme and without a competent Democratic Party it won't happen. To paraphrase W.F. Buckley: "Nominate the most liberal candidate that can get elected!" Without electoral success nothing will change.
