After reviewing the books through July, it seems like a good time to offer a mid-year accounting and make an earnest appeal for community journalism.
My wishlist for the local paper is a weekly with obituaries and, maybe, a quartly with obituaries. It's embarrassing to not be aware that a friend has died. I think that they'd sell, too.
