How about electing people who actually will do their job? It makes no sense to continue to send “legislators” to Washington who refuse to legislate. The dismantling of government programs through underfunding and the expectation that private enterprise will fill in the gaps left by deliberate neglect of national responsibilities as you have pointed out is not in the nation’s best interests. “We do better when we all do better.” I am hoping that we’ve had enough of paying folks to do nothing in Washington. We need to do better.

Then a good bill can be drawn up to save us all because we all need to eat a have a safe secure food supply, clean water and healthy environment.
